Lately it seems we are all being bombarded with distressing economic news, rising energy costs and a growing concern about the negative impact our excessive use of non-renewable resources has on the wellbeing of our environment.   It’s definitely time to start evaluating new ways to achieve our goals in business and our personal lives while working to reduce living expenses and practicing positive environmental activities.  With these necessities in mind, the timing of IRTI’s latest development could not be better news for people who produce or use alternative text to read.

Since 1981 IRTI has produced and distributed the Technical Innovations Bulletin Magazine (TIB) on audiotape in the NLS format.  The TIB has been an essential communications tool for IRTI and our clients providing informative interviews with industry leaders, technology news, product demonstrations and promotions to thousands of people and organizations nationwide.  The cost to produce and distribute audio material on tape, or CD for that matter, and mailing it to our subscribers continues to climb out of control and may not be the best use of our precious resources.  I’m sure these concerns are the same for many organizations around the world.

To help combat rising accessible media production costs IRTI media publishing service will be the first to take advantage of eClipseReader-EyeNet by distributing the TIB magazine OnLine using Print-To-Audio services.   IRTI is now able to provide the TIB in a unique blend of text, graphics and audio media and efficiently distribute it to our clients free of charge over the worldwide web. 

The TIB magazine will be accessed using a free version of eClipseReader-EyeNet soon to be released.  The free version of eClipseReader-EyeNet is compatible with all media produced by IRTI media production services and may be upgraded by purchasing an activation key enabling all text and DAISY reading features normally available in eClipseReader the DAISY book player.
