Dual Mode User Interface

eClipseWriter's global preferences enables eClipseWriter's Basic Word Processing Mode or Advanced Media Production Mode.  Basic Mode is the factory default setting and is the user interface screen presented the first time you start eClipseWriter.  Basic Mode provides an intuitive approach to Reading, Writing, Scanning documents and converting documents to DAISY media for personal use.   Start your eClipseWriter experience familiarizing yourself with common word processing functions, scanning and reading and converting documents to your choice of DAISY talking books using the SAVE AS DAISY Command found in the file menu.

Accessible Media Producers appreciate eClipseWriter's Advance Media Production Mode features  for  recording audio, converting prerecorded audio to DAISY media and the enhance multi-media document formatting tools.  

Word Processor Based  Accessible Media Production.

eClipseWriter Pro includes a self-voicing word processor that highlights words or phrases as text is read aloud using your choice of SAPI 5 synthetic voices.  Authors may create their own original text or to edit existing copy.  DAISY Formatting processes may be automated or achieved using simple manual document mark-up that allows you to edit documents for more detailed structure and graphics presentation.

Updated "SAVE AS DAISY" feature that allows you to open any of the supported text formats and create accessible portable audio media with heading, page and phrase navigation completely automated from start to finish guided by a step by step build book wizard.  It will even burn you a DAISY CD automatically when the automated rendering process is complete.

New Scan and Read and Scan To DAISY features provide access to printed documents and books.  Scanning can be set to editable word processor mode or  a simple text reading mode controlled via the keyboard number pad providing a simple reading machine functionality.  A key describer function teaches scan and read operation by describing each keys function when pressing any of the number pad keys.

Scan and Read Mode includes: a Scan Button, Read and Stop Reading Button, Document Navigation Controls,  Speed Font Size Controls and a SAVE AS DAISY Button that prints the scanned document to an audio CD in DAISY format.

Scan To DAISY captures document structure enabling DAISY conversion with the ability to recognize and format: Headings, Lists, Tables and Pages navigated by DAISY players and readers.

The DAISY Audio Recorder  is an excellent tool for recording meetings and lectures in the DAISY format for later review with eClipseReader or your favorite hardware DAISY player.
