Company Profile
IRTI has been in business
since December 1979 providing products and services to blind, visually
impaired, and learning disabled persons and organizations serving the
needs of their client population. IRTI is continually expanding it's operation to have a greater impact on individuals and organizations serving the handicapped. For the last 14 years, we have been involved in the development and marketing of 4-track players and 4-track recorders, which we identify as "Talking Tape Players" and "Talking Tape Recorders". IRTI's most notable achievement is the introduction of it's cassette publication called "Technical Innovations Bulletin" in June of 1981. This cassette bulletin provides information on current technologies for disabled persons which can impact employment and personal life style.
Vito A. Proscia, Founder of IRTI, has over a quarter century experience
in developing and evaluating products for the visually impaired and
blind. Vito Proscia started as a professional electronics engineer in
the aerospace industry, was appointed Director of the Sensory Aids Evaluation
and Development Center at MIT, became Vice President of Marketing at
TeleSensory Corp. early in the '70's, a founder of Optacon Fund (Sensory
Access Foundation), and a Trustee of National Braille Press. This
experience is the basis upon which IRTI has been established
